SiliconWit® helps you learn, build, and deploy real engineering systems on siliconwit.io, a live IoT and AIoT platform. You learn to program microcontrollers, design circuits and PCBs, analyze mechanisms, and build the kind of connected systems that go on to run real operations.
Through project-based courses, applied research, and open-source tools, you build practical skills, from sensor nodes and circuit boards to machines and connected devices. Once a device is live on the platform, it keeps streaming data, automating responses, and staying under your control, even when you are not there.
Our work spans four connected areas:
Education: Project-based courses in mechatronics, embedded systems, electronics, and mechanical design
Research: Open publications sharing discoveries in engineering and technology
Product Development: Open-source tools and connected systems built from skills taught in our courses
Connected Platform: siliconwit.io, a live IoT and AIoT platform where your devices and assets deploy, stream data, automate, and act
Most engineering courses end at the exam. We would rather they end with something that works: a circuit board you designed, a mechanism you sized, a sensor reporting live from the field. The courses give you the fundamentals, the open-source tools help you build, and siliconwit.io is where what you build goes into service and keeps running after the lesson is over.
SiliconWit® gives you both halves of a working engineering project: the skill to build it, and the place to run it. On siliconwit.com you learn and build: project-based courses in mechatronics, embedded systems, electronics, PCB design, and IoT, backed by applied research and open-source tools. On siliconwit.io you deploy and run: a live IoT and AIoT platform where the device you built connects, streams data, automates, and acts on its own, even when you are not there. That pairing is the point. You do not just finish a lesson, you end up with a real system in the field that keeps working for you.
Our Mission
To help people turn engineering ideas into working systems, by making practical project-based education and the tools to deploy it available to anyone, regardless of where they are or what they can afford.
Our Vision
A world where anyone with an idea can build it and put it to work, and where good engineering education is not limited by where you live or what you can afford.
Our Team
Practical Learning for Real Impact
Our team creates hands-on courses and interactive content designed to build practical skills. We focus on real-world applications that help self-learners and under-resourced communities turn knowledge into working solutions.
Open Research, Open Access
We publish our research openly and freely, ensuring that cutting-edge knowledge in engineering and technology is accessible to everyone, regardless of location or resources. Our research directly informs our educational content and product development.
Tools and Systems That Run
We develop open-source tools and connected systems that solve real problems, including in under-resourced communities, and run them on siliconwit.io. The research and platform behind those products also feed the courses, so what we learn from building real systems is what we teach.
